I have been an artist for the past 27 years; my parents have told me once I could hold a marker in my hand, I never looked back. I went from drawing scribbles on a page, sometimes a wall, or my face — to drawing people, landscapes, and still lives. I went from barely being able to trace my ABC’s to drawing out cursive script. I even went from eating Play-doh to throwing porcelain bowls, vases, and mugs on the wheel.
The reason I create is because I love getting lost in the act of worship with my God-given gifts. The mission statement of my art is Love. Delight. Enjoy the gift of life. Repeat. If I can brighten someone’s day a little more, encourage them in a small way, or even inspire someone, my mission is accomplished.
